Human beings are innately close to nature. Spanning 200 acres on the banks of Yangcheng Lake, Sun Dew Park’s name was derived from Tao Yuanming's poem "Guiyuan Tianju". A natural hive was built in the park; surrounded by the refreshing fragrance of rapeseed, Chinese milk vetch, loquat, jujube and eucalyptus, it is an excellent environment for bees to produce honey. Guests can accompany local beekeeping experts to observe hardworking bees at a close distance. Guests can discover their habits, understand the benefits of honey, and taste the pure, natural nectar that bees so effortlessly make. The water sports club is also located in the beautiful Sun Dew Park, which is an ideal choice for water vacation aficionados. A Ping is Fairmont Yangcheng Lake’s culture and sustainability ambassador. Born and raised in Xishan, Suzhou, A Ping boasts many years of farming experience. Every year, A Ping leads hotel guests, facilitating their experience of various folk activities according to different seasons. In the early spring, guests can try stir-fried tea, learn how to do Dragon Boat Festival’s rice dumplings, and visit crab cages and water town farmhouses to explore local customs and traditions. Summer can be experienced through the vibrant Yue Feng Island organic farm. A Ping delights in assisting guests with organic vegetables picking or showing them the area’s pastoral wilderness. After selecting fresh produce, guests can go to the Wugu Culinary Studio to study with A Ping. As they create seasonal delicacies, they can listen enthralled in the various interesting folk stories that A Ping shares.
