T&L:2018年中国市场的表现如何?有哪些令人惊喜的亮点和表现?

What is the performance of the Chinese market in 2018? What are the surprising highlights in 2018?

庞道安先生:Overall performance of China Market

· 5%-6% y-o-y growth in Greater China

中国市场实现5%-6%同比增长。

· In winter 2018, Air France-KLM operated 89 flights departure from 9 destinations in China to Paris and Amsterdam every week. (In winter 2018, Air France KLM operate 78 flights from China to Europe.) With its partners CZ, MU, MF (Xiamen Airlines), Air France KLM offers up to 118 weekly flights between China and Europe.

2018年冬季,法航荷航共运营着飞向9个中国目的地的78次航班,每周往返巴黎与阿姆斯特丹之间。法航荷航与合作伙伴南航、东航、厦门航空一道,每周运营118次航班往返于中欧之间。

· Working together very closely with Chinese airline partners, utilizing levels of expertise, different traditions.  With joint ventures with three Chinese airlines, China Southern, China Eastern, and Xiamen Airlines, Air France KLM offer passengers more choices of flights and connections, adaptable schedules, harmonized ground and inflight services, and competitive fares.

法航荷航不断巩固同中国市场合作伙伴的关系,综合利用各种专业资源和不同传统。通过与南航、东航与厦门航空的联营合作,法航荷航将继续乘客带来了更多的航班、转机选择、灵活的航班时刻表,更加无缝化的地面和机上服务,以及具有竞争力的票价。

· KLM Launched A Warm-hearted Campaign, the ‘’Warm Water Bottle’’, to distribute heating bottles exclusively for Chinese passengers during the Chinese New Year, this campaign was much appreciated by the Chinese passenger.

荷兰皇家航空于2018年2月6日在阿姆斯特丹史基浦机场举行了一场“那一杯的温暖”的推广活动,为来自中国的乘客派发特别定制保温杯,并在史基浦机场抵达大厅打造了一座大型热水壶,将贴心周到的服务延伸至目的地,使乘客不仅在抵达时能立即享用到热水,更能在旅行中随时有热水相伴,一路温暖异国他乡的旅程。

· Air France announced its mini-site on WeChat went live on February, this official mini-website allows customers to book flights and manage online check-in and flight information on the WeChat platform, then Air France launched WeChat Pay for its Chinese clients at the airports as of November.

自2月起,法国航空公司在微信公众号平台上开通微官网,为法航乘客提供机票购买、办理网上值机、航班查询等功能。自11月起,法国航空在机场通微信支付新服务。

· On March 26, Air France welcomed its B787-9 in Guangzhou. For the first time, Air France began operate the latest 787 Dreamliner on Paris-Guangzhou route.

法国航空公司从3月26日起,启用全新波音787-9梦想飞机将正式执飞广州-巴黎航线,这也是法航在中欧航线上首次采用波音787-9执飞的航线。

· Starting 16 April 2018, Air France began operating 3 weekly direct flights to the Taiwanese capital, Taipei, on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

自4月16日开始,法航开航巴黎—台北新航线,届时每周3个直飞航班往返巴黎戴高乐机场和台北之间。该航线将由波音777-200飞机执飞,机上配备法航长途航线全新客舱。

· Air France upgraded the aircrafts on Paris-Wuhan routes as of May 2018, using B777 to replace the present A330, and continue to upgrade new products and services for local passengers.

自5月起,法国航空对武汉航线的执飞机型进行更新,由法航长途舰队的主力机型波音777飞机替换以往执飞的空客330,升级后机上座位数和载量均有提升,配备法航全新客舱,为中国乘客提供量身定制的机上产品及服务,致力于打造往返武汉巴黎之间及两地周边城市的首选航线。

· Air France-KLM and China Eastern Airlines broaden their cooperation and intensify their joint venture Cooperation. Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines now form a single joint venture.

7月,法国航空、荷兰皇家航空、中国南方航空与厦门航空于7月16日在阿姆斯特丹宣布合并现有的联营合作协议,旨在建立更为紧密的合作伙伴关系,并为乘客带来更加顺畅、无缝的旅行解决方案。

· Starting October 1st 2018, Air France is for the first time entrusting the creation of two signature dishes per month in the La Première cabin to Jean-François Rouquette, the famous Michelin-starred head chef at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme hotel. La Première customers will be able to enjoy the chef's creative and refined dishes until March 2019.

自2018年10月1日起,法国航空公司将与巴黎旺多姆柏悦酒店著名米其林星级主厨Jean-François Rouquette展开合作,为特定的头等舱航线每月推出两道招牌菜。届时,从纽约、东京和上海飞往巴黎的头等舱乘客都能够在机上品尝到Rouquette主厨亲自设计的创意美味佳肴。

· Ashun Wu wins KLM Open with wonder shot on final hole, the 99th edition of the KLM Open organised by TIG Sports and sponsored by KLM and ING Private.

9月,中国高尔夫球手吴阿顺在荷兰高尔夫俱乐部球场18号洞打出致胜一鸟,赢得2018年荷兰公开赛(KLM Open)冠军。第99届荷兰公开赛于2018年9月13日至16日在Spijk的荷兰高尔夫俱乐部举行。本次赛事由TIG运动主办,荷兰皇家航空与ING集团赞助。

· The Board of Directors of Air France-KLM, meeting on August 16, 2018, has decided to appoint Benjamin Smith as Air France-KLM Chief Executive Officer.

法航荷航集团董事会于2018年8月召开会议,任命本杰明·史密斯(Benjamin Smith)担任集团首席执行官。

· KLM introduced its latest Delftware miniature on its 99th anniversary. The latest addition to the series this year is be the first store of Douwe Egberts in Joure. KLM will be serving Douwe Egberts’ sustainable UTZ-certified coffee on all its European and intercontinental flights with effect from Sunday, 28 October.

2018年10月,按照传统,荷兰皇家航空(荷航)在庆祝其成立99周年之际宣布推出最新款的代尔夫特蓝陶微缩房屋。今年的系列新款产品原型为位于Joure小镇的DouweEgberts第一家咖啡店(DouweEgberts in Joure)。同时荷航也宣布自10月28日周日起,将在欧洲境内和洲际航班上提供获UTZ可持续咖啡认证的DouweEgberts咖啡。

· Air France celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Paris-Hong Kong route at Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck on 16th Oct.

2018年10月,法国航空在香港天际100观景台隆重举行庆祝活动,庆祝法国航空巴黎-香港航线开通80周年。

· Air France-KLM and China’s leading digital travel platform Ctrip.com signed a strategic framework agreement. This framework agreement quickly brings the cooperation to the next level identifying six specific key objectives Ctrip and Air France-KLM will be working on, ranging from distribution, marketing to service and loyalty topics. Under this framework, Air France-KLM and Ctrip will utilize and integrate their expertise and resources to provide a wider array of comprehensive travel services and products to the China market.

2018年11月,作为在海牙签署的谅解备忘录的拓展延伸,法航荷航集团与携程正式签订战略合作框架协议。此前签订的谅解备忘录初步确认了合作的领域与方向,本次框架协议的签订标志着法航荷航集团与携程之间的合作迈向新高度,合作领域将拓宽至分销、营销、产品服务以及常旅客计划等方面。在合作框架内,法航荷航与携程之间的业务合作将充分整合利用各自资源,向市场提供更丰富独特的综合旅游服务产品。

· Air France-KLM and China Eastern sign extension of their joint venture partnership.

The three SkyTeam airlines will extend their joint venture partnership as of January 1, 2019 on two additional routes, Paris–Wuhan and Paris–Kunming. Air France, KLM, and China Eastern will offer their respective customers new codeshare and connection opportunities. Air France-KLM and China Eastern are thus continuing to develop their strategic commercial partnership aimed at offering an ever-expanding range of services to customers travelling between Europe and China.

11月,法航荷航集团宣布与中国东方航空签署协议拓展联营合作。作为本次强化联营协议的一部分,天合联盟成员法航、荷航与东方航空宣布,从2019年1月1日起,在巴黎至武汉、巴黎至昆明两条航线上进一步拓展联营合作。法航、荷航、东航将为各自的乘客带来新的代码共享与转机服务。法航荷航集团与东航也将继续推进战略商业合作伙伴关系,旨在为中欧航线上的乘客带来范围更为广泛、更多样化的服务。

T&L:2018年中国旅行者在目的地选择、出行时间选择、舱位选择、出行频次等方面有哪些变化?2019年是否会有针对这些变化对机型、航班、服务等进行调整?

What changes have Chinese travelers made in terms of destination selection, travel time selection, cabin class selection and travel frequency in 2018? Will there be any adjustments to these changes in aircraft types, flights and services in 2019?

庞道安先生:Over the past years, the rise of upper-middle-class in China has greatly contributed to the boom of airline-tourism in China. The Chinese market is highlighted by:

过去的几年中,中国中产阶级的兴起极大地促进了航空旅游业的发展。目前中国市场呈现以下特征:

-More and more Chinese tourists choose DIY travelling instead of group travelling.

越来越多的游客选择自由行

-An increasing number of passengers from 2-tier cities, such as Hangzhou, Chengdu, and Xiamen, etc. choose the business class, which is a cocoon in the sky, with comfort, space, and privacy inside a cabin.

选择商务舱出行的二线城市旅客数量增长迅速,如杭州、成都、厦门等。法航商务舱空中茧型结构,舒适、宽敞,具备私密性。

T&L:有哪些新产品、新服务、新技术在2018年进行运用?效果及乘客的反馈怎样

What new products, new services and new technologies have being used in 2018? How about the effect and passenger feedback?

庞道安先生:· For Chinese food: Served refined Chinese dishes in all cabins. For example, Pan fried pork bun (Shengjian) & Toufu Roll (Doupi) are offered on Wuhan route. Chinese Menu and on board entertainment system in Chinese.

法航在武汉-巴黎航线上为所有客舱提供精致中式美食,如:生煎、豆皮等。机上菜单和娱乐系统都采用中文,方便旅客。

· AF’s Mini site on Wechat platform, which was unveiled in Feb 2018, allows customers to book flights and manage online check-in and flight information, Air France launched WeChat Pay for its Chinese clients at the airports as of November.

自2月起,法国航空公司在微信公众号平台上开通微官网,为法航乘客提供机票购买、办理网上值机、航班查询等功能。自11月起,法国航空宣布在官方网站开通微信支付新服务。在今年年底之前,还会陆续为乘客推出其他数字化新服务。

· The in-flight high-speed Wi-Fi will be equipped on the Air France flight to China. By the end of 2018, the in-flight Wi-Fi offer, Air France CONNECT, will be available on 22 long-haul aircraft and 8 short- and medium-haul aircraft, with an aim of equipping the entire fleet by the end of 2020.

法航飞往中国的航班上配备了高速Wi-Fi。2018年底之前,22个长途、8个短途合中途航线上将配备法航机上Wi-Fi服务。法航计划在2020年底前,在所有航线上开通机上Wi-Fi。

· And for KLM, the wifi has been already applied on the Chinese routes departure from Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xiamen and Hangzhou. These destinations are operated with an B787/9, which is equipped with Wifi. Currently we are installing wifi on the B777 fleet.

荷航已经在以B787-9执飞的北京、上海、成都、厦门和杭州的航班上配备了机上Wi-Fi服务。目前我们也正在B777机型上开通此服务。

T&L:人工智能、大数据等是否在行业获得应用?效果怎样?下一步会怎样继续推进?

Are AI, big data applied in the aviation industry? What's the effect? How will your company continue to move forward?

庞道安先生:Yes, of course we also use Big Data, AI and we are doing tests with BioMetrics ( facial recognition at airports for example).

当然法航荷航也会采用大数据、人工智能,我们目前也在试验生物识别功能(如机场的人脸识别服务)。

Also by using big data we will be able to better forecast the demand and make personalized offers to our customers, this is the future.

通过使用大数据,我们能够更好地预测市场需求,为消费者提供个性化服务。这些都是法航荷航所期待的未来。

To be able to have an optimally efficient service in our call centers we make use of robotics (chatbots) that can effectively answer a big part of the questions we receive on social media for example.

为了优化客户服务中心的效率,我们目前在使用Chatbots这一聊天机器人服务,以便提高在社交媒体平台上针对消费者提问的效率。

T&L:自由行比例是否继续扩大?在针对自由行的产品、服务方面有哪些改进?

Does the proportion of FIT continue to expand? What improvements have been made in products and services for FIT?

庞道安先生:Over the past years, the rise of upper-middle-class in China has greatly contributed to the boom of airline-tourism in China. The Chinese market is highlighted by:

过去的几年中,中国中产阶级的兴起极大地促进了航空旅游业的发展。目前中国市场呈现以下特征:

-More and more Chinese tourists choose DIY travelling instead of group travelling.

-Next to this, also the way our customers prepare and book their travel is changing. Mobile usage is key and we need to be there where the customer is, so also in this sense we are investing and changing the way we distribute our products in the Chinese market

此外,消费者准备和预定出行方式也在变化,越来越多的人使用手机预定管理出行,我们需要出现在他们需要的地方,所以我们也在这一方面进行投入,改变法航荷航在中国市场上的产品服务分销方式。

T&L:2019年是否会有新航线投入运营?新航线开通有哪些考虑?您对新航线的运营业绩有怎样的期待?

Will there be new routes in operation in 2019? What are the considerations for the opening of new routes? What are your expectations for the performance of the new routes?

Will there be big brand marketing activities in China in 2019? What is the purpose of these activities?

庞道安先生:In 2019 we will celebrate KLM 100 years anniversary which is of course a huge milestone and we will plan of course, many events around it.

-Oh Lala and Dream Deals sales campaign twice the year

-These activities are obviously to reach out to the customer, explaining to them who we are and what we have to offer and to build mutual loyalty

这些活动可以覆盖更广的消费者,更好地向他们解释我们是谁,能够提供何种服务,以便提高品牌忠实度。

T&L:2019可能遇到的最大困难是什么?是否有相应的应对措施?

What are the biggest difficulties that may be encountered in 2019? Are there any corresponding countermeasures?

庞道安先生:The Chinese airline industry is very energetic, lots of growth and we enjoy a very well working governmental organization in China that enables us to operate smoothly. So in that sense we do not foresee any issues.

中国航空业充满活力,增长迅速,我们也与当地政府组织进行了良好的沟通与合作,继而实现良好运营。所以在此方面,我们并未预见任何问题。

Of course, as China is such an interesting market for the airline industry , there is also a lot of expected growth. By creating capacity, one also creates demand, but there will always be a tipping point. Demand is not unconstraint, also not in China. We will need to be smart in using and optimizing our capacity and production, everywhere, not only in China.

对于整个航空行业来说,中国市场十分具有吸引力,也在持续增长。在提升运力的同时,需求也有所提升,但肯定会遇到临界点。市场需求有限,所有市场都存在这个问题,所以我们会采用灵巧的策略来优化全球所有市场上的运力。

T&L:对2019年中国市场的表现有怎样的期望?

What are the expectations for the performance of the Chinese market in 2019?

庞道安先生:Goal: 5%-6% y-o-y growth in Greater China 目标:中国市场实现5%-6%增长

· We need to keep our momentum and stay strong. Now, the way to do it is by growing in terms of capacity but it's also by being as interesting as possible for the customer.  That is the corporate customer, big global customers like Huawei, ZTE, Sinopec they are big customers and we need to keep them close to the chest with a good price and a good service, good loyalty programs.

我们需要保持强劲增长势头,所以需要提高运力,保持对消费者的吸引力,与华为、中兴、中石化等全球大型企业客户保持密切合作,为其提供性价比高的优质服务如常旅客计划等。

· Then the other thing what we also just mentioned is the changing landscape of distribution, The travel agents, OTAs, flagship stores, NDC, APIs, that's what is happening, we need to be there.

另外一项便是改变分销渠道,如旅行社、在线旅行社、旗舰店,传统分销模式NDC,统一API解决方案等,都需要我们进行投入。

· And Air France and KLM we've always been on the forefront of digital development, digital innovation, social media platform. We need to keep that first mover position in the Chinese market.

Digital innovation 数字化创新

· With the rapid development of China’s social media industry, Air France KLM has expanded its e-commerce sales channels in the China market, offering Chinese customers a greater diversity of services.

随着中国社交媒体行业的发展,法航荷航几天也在不断拓展中国市场上的电子商务渠道,为中国消费者带来更加多样化的服务。

· For instance, way back in 2014, Air France KLM became the first foreign airline to offer services over WeChat. In 2015, KLM became the first foreign airline to enable social login on its website via WeChat. In 2016, Air France KLM became the first non-Asia airline to open a flagship store on Fliggy. In June 2017, KLM was the first airline outside China to offer flight documents and information on WeChat. In August 2017, KLM became the first western airline to offer its customers the opportunity to pay for tickets and ancillaries via WeChat payment on KLM.com and Wechat.

2014年,法航、荷航成为首家开通微信服务的海外航空公司;2015年,荷航成为首家开通官网微信支付的海外航空公司;2016年,法航荷航成为首家亚洲以外在飞猪上开通旗舰店的航空公司。2017年6月,荷航成为首家在微信上提供飞行信息和状态更新的海外航空公司;2017年8月,2017年8月起,荷兰皇家航空公司为在KLM.com 和微信平台上购买机票或办理其他业务的乘客正式开通微信支付服务。荷航也因此成为首家在中国大陆第一社交媒体平台微信上开通此项付款方式的海外航空公司。

· This year, Air France launched its mini site on Wechat. With its friendly UI, it offers Chinese customers a new mobile portal to book flight tickets, manage check-in and flight information updates, and finds useful travel information. Currently, the mini-site is available in both English and Simplified Chinese.

今年2月法航在微信上开通了全新微官网,提供机票预定、办理值机、查询航班动态等服务。此后,法航继续增强社交媒体功能,新增微信支付新选项。当前,微官网提供中英双语选择。

T&L:可否请您谈下2019年的私人旅行计划?您在出行时选择航司的依据是?

Could you please to share your personal travel plan for 2019? What are the criteria for choosing an airline brand when you travel?

庞道安先生:Living in China provides us with a great opportunity to see the region. Since our arrival this year we have been traveling a lot within China, which was a great treat! This X-mas period we will spend one week in Bali with the family, then back to the Netherlands to see our friends and family.

在中国工作,使我能够去亲身体验这个国家。自来到中国之后,我们全家一起已经去了很多地方,体验非常棒。接下来的圣诞节假期间,我们全家会先去巴厘岛度假呆一周,之后回荷兰去见家人朋友。

Next year we will again go skiing in China, but also in Austria, we have planned to go to Harbin and Taipei for short trips and for summer, we will go to Korea and Japan. In the summer we will have many visitors from Europe and we will surely accompany them to all the beautiful places China has to offer. Tibet is one of the places that we have already booked for next summer! We are really looking forward to that!

明年我们打算继续在中国找一些滑雪圣地,之后再去奥地利滑雪。我们还计划去哈尔滨和台北进行短途旅行;夏天的时候,我们准备去韩国和日本旅行观光。当然,我们很多欧洲的朋友在夏天也会来中国,到时我们会加入他们,同他们一起游览中国的大好河山。明年夏天,我们也打算去趟西藏,对此十分期待。
