酒店概况
Step into the world of the Maharajas. The Gateway Hotel Ramgarh Lodge Jaipur was once the favourite hunting retreat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. And might easily become one of your preferred destinations as well.
The Ramgarh Lodge was built in 1933 designed by Sir Swinton Jacob with a Spanish theme almost 30 years after the man-made lake was created in 1903 at Jamwa Ramgarh. This was once the favourite getaway for Maharaja Man Singhji of Jaipur, Maharani Gayatri Devi and their friends and family. Maharani Gayatri Devi’s suite is much favoured for its opulent size as well as an open balcony with a panoramic view of the Aravalli Hills.
The royal hunting lodge of the bygone era has been converted into a resort in keeping with the changing times. One can sit back and enjoy the vista from the terrace of the suite, and without stepping out can enjoy nature unfurl in front of your eyes - away from the chaotic life of the city. After a day of trekking/rural sightseeing, sit back with a drink and watch the unmatched sunset behind the wooded hills of Jamwa Ramgarh, the ancient capital of Jaipur.
Here one can find the ruins of almost 1000 years old fort of great historical value, the ruins suggest the area was governed by the Kachawa Clan before they migrated to Amer and subsequently to Jaipur.
The Lodge is surrounded by the Aravalli range amongst which is the Jamwa Mata Temple which goes many centuries old.
