The Pierre, the iconic U.S. flagship of Taj Hotels on New York's Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park is re-open following an impressive $100 million renovation debuting new guestroom and bath interiors.

Even in a city where exclusive luxuries are the norm, there is one hotel that is far more rare and special than the rest. Possessing a fabled Central Park location in Midtown Manhattan and legendary history, The Pierre continues to set the standard for elegance and unrivalled hospitality.

The latest in modern conveniences include interactive flat panel televisions in bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms, the Bose Home Theatre system with iPod docking stations, high speed wired and wireless Internet access, executive desks with built-in data and power outlets, and electronic safes with power outlets that accommodate laptops.

All guestrooms and suites have been transformed to feature a warm, inviting residential-style decor with a feeling of quiet luxury. High ceilings and abundant natural light evoke a gracious, airy experience that enhances the new interiors. Color palettes, comprised of soft neutrals in pale ivory and taupe with tones or corals or blues, are contrasted with rich woods, tufted leather headboards and matching benches. Richly textured silk and brocade fabrics in elegant neutrals with tasteful accents of color adorn upholstery, pillows, draperies and bed throws. Hand-carved carpets ensure comfort and superb acoustical sound control.

THE TATA SUITE

The Tata Suite is The Pierres Presidential Suite, named for the Taj Hotels parent company, Tata, Indias preeminent business group. The Tata Suite, on the hotels 39th floor, offers stunning views of Central Park. The 1,980 square foot suite features an expansive living room, two bedrooms with baths, a dining room with custom silver leaf table which seats eight, and a pantry kitchen. The Tata Suite may be combined with other rooms and suites to provide up to 6 bedrooms and a private floor.

THE ESCOFFIER SUITE

The Escoffier Suite honors August Escoffier, the father of modern French cuisine. Mr. Escoffier created an elaborate menu to honor the grand opening of the hotel and then stayed on as a guest chef during the hotels first few months of operation. The 1,225 square foot suite features a living room, dining room, service pantry, and two bedrooms and baths with city views.

THE PARK SUITE

The Park Suites lovely foyer and decorative fireplace welcome guests into this gracious suite overlooking Wollman Skating Rink at Central Park. Murano glass and pale gold and cream tones distinguish the suite. A custom dining table with silver leaf chairs can accommodate eight. The master bath features a soaking tub with city views.

THE CHARLES PIERRE SUITE

This lovely 1,369 square foot suite offers a spacious living room, dining room, bedroom and bath. It welcomes guests with a fireplace and with French doors leading to a dramatic landscaped terrace. The Charles Pierre Suite may be combined with an adjoining guestroom to offer two bedrooms.

THE GETTY SUITE

This gracious suite is named in honor of John Paul Getty, the oilman who bought The Pierre in 1938 and owned it until it became a cooperative. With a lovely master bedroom and bath, living room, dining room, and service pantry, the Getty Suite also offers a spacious garden terrace. The Getty Suite may be combined with two additional guestrooms to provide three bedrooms.

THE HUTTON SUITE

Named in honor of the industrialist E.F. Hutton who partnered with Charles Pierre to finance the hotel, the suite was occupied by his niece, Barbara Hutton, as her Manhattan pied a terre for five decades. The suite features two gracious seating areas in front of a decorative fireplace. The dining area and pantry are ideal for entertaining. The master bedroom offers expansive windows. The Hutton Suite may be combined with other rooms to offer up to two additional bedrooms.

GRAND SUITES

Located on The hotels higher floors, between 26 to 39; the Premier Suites average 900 sqft (84 sqm) with most offering a marble topped pantry with a microwave oven, wet-bar and refrigerator, affording home comfort for the discerning guest. Each bedroom is simply yet beautifully upholstered and features a King bed, 40-inch flat screen high-definition TV, Bose Wave Studios with input capabilities for iPods and smart phones for maximum comfort.

CITY VIEW SUITES

Our exquisite City View Suites at The Pierre offer high ceilings with an abundance of natural light throughout and a separate living room aside from your master bedroom and bathroom to catch up on business calls or recline and watch a movie with your loved one. Some of our City View Suites include a marble topped pantry with microwave oven, wet-bar and refrigerator for entertaining purposes. Each bedroom features a King bed, 40-inch flat screen high-definition TV and a Bose Wave Studios with input capabilities for iPods and smart phones for your favorite tunes. Elegant marble-clad bathrooms feature glass showers with rain shower heads & separate soaking tubs as well as a flat screen high-definition TV so you can catch up on the news while you enjoy our Molton Brown bathroom amenities. EXECUTIVE SUITES

Business or pleasure, our Executive Suites offer the perfect living arrangement for those seeking a separate living room in addition to their master bedroom and bathroom. The Executive Suites are exquisitely appointed with interior facing views of the hotel and sumptuous king beds ideal for lounging, 40-inch flat screen high-definition televisions, complimentary high-speed wireless internet access and a Bose Wave Studios with input capabilities for iPods and smart phones. Marble-clad bathrooms feature a separate flat screen high-definition TV, glass showers with oversized rain shower heads & separate tubs, sublime for soaking with complimentary Molton Brown bathroom amenities before reclining in an oversized Pierre terry towel robes & slippers. SIGNATURE ROOM

Signature Rooms are luxurious, spacious and reflect the ambiance of a classic Manhattan residence with high ceilings and large windows. Signature Rooms are situated between floors 12 through 38 and average 550 square feet (51 square meters). They feature one king sized bed. The spacious Turkish marble-clad bathroom features a glass-walled shower with oversized showerheads and soaking tub. Signature rooms offer beautiful views of Central Park and Upper East Side Manhattan.

PARK VIEW ROOM

Park View rooms offer a partial view of Central Park and an Upper East Side city view. These rooms are situated between floors 34 to 39 and average 320 square feet (30 square meters). They feature one king bed. The Turkish marble-clad bathroom features a glass shower with oversized showerheads. These rooms offer a partial view of Central Park and an Upper East Side city view.

CITY VIEW ROOM

City view rooms are between floors 5 to 21 and average 350 square feet (33 square meters). They feature one king bed or two twin beds. The Turkish marble-clad bathroom features a soaking tub and glass shower with oversized showerheads. These rooms offer beautiful city views offering high ceilings. These rooms can be combined with one of our luxurious City View Suites to create a 2-bedroom suite.

DELUXE ROOM

CLASSIC ROOM

The Turkish marble-clad bathroom features soaking tub, glass shower with oversized showerheads. These rooms are quietly situated in the interior side of the hotel and feature high ceilings.

SUPERIOR ROOM
