Umabona

This Residence, whose name means House of the Earth, is unique among Bali spa resorts for its grandeur. The aesthetic takes its influence from the Majapahit palaces and their formal pleasure gardens with interior details that include hand carvings, fine antiques, courtly furniture, gilding, richly painted walls and precious textiles. The views look towards Mount Batu Karu. The two-bedroom COMO Suite has its own pool; for other rooms, see our floor plan.

Wanakasa

This Residence—whose name means Forest in the Mist—sits amongst the trees, the semi-circular edge of its private pool echoing the bend of the Ayung River 100 metres below. Columns made from wide trunks of bingkirai trees support the main living pavilion and pool while teak floors and ironwood-shingle roofs provide the atmosphere of a five-star treehouse. There is a large master COMO Shambhala Suite, with a private Jacuzzi, two Terrace Suites, two Garden Rooms and a study, which can be converted into an additional bedroom or treatment room.

Tejasuara

We imported 1,200 tonnes of stone from the nearby island of Sumba to construct this bold villa, whose name means Sound of Fire, finished with tribal cloth furnishing, black bamboo beds and thatch roofing. There are three substantial Estate Suites, and the COMO Shambhala Suite, which has a private Jacuzzi, meditation garden, courtyard and pavilion. There is also a large communal living and dining room, as well as a study, which can also be converted into an extra bedroom or treatment room.

Tirta Ening

This Residence at our Bali health retreat—whose name means Clear Water—exudes a soothing feeling of Zen serenity. Stone carvings and Chinese antiques decorate the interiors, and the gentle sound of water can be heard throughout. There is a 91sq m (890 sq ft) COMO Shambhala Suite with its Japanese water garden and private waterfall, an Estate Suite and two Terrace Suites. Another standout feature is the central floating pavilion constructed from batu kuning (yellow rock) and teak.

Bayugita

Among Bali retreats, this Residence—whose name means Windsong—combines the clean lines of Balinese tradition with details from colonial Java, like Victorian antique baths and Venetian and Dutch beds. There is a COMO Shambhala Suite with Jacuzzi, two Terrace Suites (of 45sqm/484sqft and 80sqm/861sqft), one Garden Room and a study, which can be used as an additional bedroom or treatment room. Outside, the dramatic infinity-edge pool stretches towards the surrounding rice fields.

Pita Linggar

This three-bedroom home—whose name means Golden Space—exudes a residential sense of style and space with two master bedrooms and one guest bedroom, as well as expansive living areas. Outside a private garden teems with local flora. There is also an infinity pool and Jacuzzi with powerful jets.

Sukma Taru

This two-bedroom private villa at our Ubud yoga retreat has spectacular views of the Ayung river valley. The name translates as Spirit Tree. The interiors have a lively, open feeling, with a master bedroom and guest bedroom plus additional light-filled living space. A private pool, sundeck space and outdoor bale makes the perfect place for your private yoga practice.

Giri Antara

This three-bedroom home—whose name means Distant Mountain—exudes a residential sense of style rare among Bali resort villas. Its two master bedrooms and one guest bedroom, as well as its living spaces, are matched by peerless views afforded by this villa’s lofty perch. There is also a private garden, infinity pool and Jacuzzi.

Gesing Kanila

This two-bedroom Bali spa villa earns its name—which means Bamboo Whispering—from the quiet, secluded glade of bamboo in which it sits. The substantial upstairs balcony affords forest views while the ample living, dining and kitchen areas create the feeling of a home away from home. Outside there is an infinity pool and Jacuzzi.

Two Bedroom Retreat Pool Villas

This COMO Shambhala Estate villa, has an unusual residential feel for an Ubud health retreat. Upstairs, a king-sized master suite features a bedroom, dressing room, ample steam-showered bath and an outdoor terrace with forest views. Below, the bed in the second bedroom, which has a convenient private entrance, can be set up as either a king or two twins. The interior living space is ample and light-filled while outside, an extensive deck gives way to a private 12m (39ft) pool with Jacuzzi jets.

One Bedroom Retreat Pool Villas

The ample living room allows for lounging about indoors. Outside, the deck affords forest views while the 11m (36ft) pool features Jacuzzi jets to relax tired muscles.

COMO Suite at Umabona

The COMO Suite comprises the master suite at Umabona, the Residence whose name means ‘House of the Earth Son.’ The suite is decorated in grand style by our interior designer Koichiro Ikebuchi. Details consist of two king-sized master suites, a Jacuzzi and the suite’s own private infinity pool as well as small indoor plunge pool. Its living room provides ample space for casual entertaining, while the dining room makes the perfect place for romantic dinners for two or intimate family meals.

COMO Shambhala Suites

Our supremely comfortable COMO Shambhala Suites constitute the principal master suite in each of the Residences at our Ubud spa hotel—each suite coming with its own clutch of Indonesian antiques and a private Jacuzzi. You also have access to the Residence’s shared pool, lounge and dining areas.

Estate Suites

Like our Garden Rooms and Terrace Suites, each Estate Suite occupies a portion of one of COMO Shambhala Estate’s four- and five-suite Residences and includes access to the Residence’s shared pool, lounge and dining areas. They are larger in size than the Garden Rooms, and have a strong residential feel, decorated with Indonesian artefacts.

Terrace Suites

Like our Garden Rooms, each Terrace Suite at our Bali spa hotel occupies one of our four- and five-suite Residences and affords access to the Residence’s shared pool, lounge and dining areas. The Terrace Suites also have their own private outdoor area—either a terrace or garden.

Garden Rooms

Occupying one of our Ubud spa resorts’ four- and five-suite Residences, our Garden Rooms are the most intimate we have, featuring king-sized beds and access to their Residence’s shared pool, lounge and dining areas.
