Rife with regal sophistication, the 8-floor property boasts 126 rooms and suites, combining distinct 1930s New York vibes with old-world Tbilisi charm. Rich, fragrant leather, mood lighting, velvety textures, and selected sounds fill the spacious fireplace lounge and cocktail bar. Glass façades also abound, encouraging guests to reflect on their whereabouts and “feel like a local”. MADE BY ORIGINALS Temur Ugulava is a torchbearer for luxury in Georgia, blending the traditional with the contemporary to forge a new design-conscious form of hospitality in the country. Under Ugulava, the Rooms Hotel Group—with properties in Kazbegi and Tbilisi—has put the Caucasus Mountain Range on the map, as well as making it a new focal point for art and design in the Georgian capital’s Vera district. ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Post-industrial window frames and reclaimed wood make up the hotel’s façade and were masterfully manipulated by local architecture firm Adjara Arch Group. Borrowing inspiration from 1930s New York while incorporating Middle Eastern design, the hotel showcases handmade tiles and wallpapers, Persian rugs, rich wooden floors, claw-foot bathtubs, mood lighting, and original Georgian art.
