关于本酒店 THE HOTEL Visit the lakes of northeastern Poland during the winter and you can ice skate as snow falls gently onto the red roofs of lakeside cottages. Make the same trip in the summer and you can lounge in a hammock, go sailing or fishing, or pick wild mushrooms. Artists Małgosia and Wojciech Żółtowsky knew that one of the region’s lakes would provide the perfect setting for a new kind of hotel, melding unique art with active days in the country. The result, Galery69, is a place for dreamers and trend spotters. Aesthetically, emotionally, and gastronomically, the 21-room lodge takes its inspiration from the surrounding environment. MADE BY ORIGINALS Małgosia and Wojciech Żółtowsky were always passionate about making furniture and exercising their creativity. After meeting at a lake, the couple stumbled across a plot of land that inspired them to open a hotel and fill it with their already impressive collection of handmade furniture. The Żółtowskys see Hotel Galery69 as a showroom to exhibit their furniture—which can also be made to order for purchase—and to welcome guests, blurring the line between hotel and gallery. ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Much like the handmade furnishings that adorn the interiors, the building’s exterior consists of white timber planks, conforming to the prevailing architectural aesthetic of the farmhouses and cottages of the surrounding village. The building’s 45-degree roof also houses a multifunctional loft space that has become a favorite among artists and creatives of the area. The aforementioned furniture is fashioned from natural wood, all handmade by Małgosia and Wojciech Żółtowsky, and is available for purchase under the couple’s label, Manufaktura69.
