关于本酒店 THE HOTEL Wrapped in a sheath of frosted glass, Habita raised eyebrows in Mexico City when it first opened in 2000 in a 1950s-era building located in one of the city's most fashionable districts. Glass and light are the leitmotifs, acting to shroud guests from prying eyes on the streets below and to create an ethereal atmosphere in this temple of modernism. MADE BY ORIGINALS The duo behind Grupo Habita has been bringing a design revolution to Mexico’s hospitality industry since 2000. Investment banker Moisés Micha and citrus farmer Carlos Couturier have built up a collection of over a dozen diverse, award-winning hotels across Mexico and more recently in the USA. The ideological pair excels at choosing untapped locations in Mexico where their can integrate their vision into the personality of the city. As they put it: “It’s about creating experiences for your guests and making the world better through hospitality.” ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Mexico's pioneer design hotel, by local group TEN Arquitectos, is an homage to contemporary design and a radical departure from the neighboring stately residential buildings. The entire old low-rise apartment block is dramatically wrapped in frosted glass panels, which, in daylight, resembles a block of ice. Enrique Norten and Bernardo Gómez-Pimienta's interior design is ice-cool and stylish with matte marble flooring, contemporary art and furniture, and sparkling white minimalism.
