关于本酒店 THE HOTEL The stunning La Purificadora, located in the historic center of Puebla, a colonial city on the road between Mexico City and Veracruz, is the reincarnation of a former 19th-century factory once used to purify water and produce ice. This long tradition of purity remains in La Purificadora's exclusively black and white décor, elegant use of original materials, and sweeping views from its 26 guest rooms. MADE BY ORIGINALS The duo behind Grupo Habita has been bringing a design revolution to Mexico’s hospitality industry since 2000. Investment banker Moisés Micha and citrus farmer Carlos Couturier have built up a collection of over a dozen diverse, award-winning hotels across Mexico and more recently in the USA. The ideological pair excels at choosing untapped locations in Mexico where their can integrate their vision into the personality of the city. As they put it: “It’s about creating experiences for your guests and making the world better through hospitality.” ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN Mexican modernist architect Ricardo Legorreta, famous for his use of bright colors, natural light, and monumental spaces, has undertaken an intense and sensitive remodeling of this former ice factory, built in 1884. Many of the building's original elements, including stone aqueducts and recycled wood remain, while a glass-walled swimming pool, balconies, and vast black-granite staircases create an austere, sophisticated ambiance.
