St. John’s is the provincial capital of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the oldest city in North America.  Seafarers originally came to the “new-found-land” to take advantage of the vibrant fishery; businessmen followed and set up shop, and the town quickly became a centre for trade and export. Today, visitors can still see many of the original buildings and a community that has proudly preserved a strong culture and history.
